U-Turn Project was established in 2004 to work with vulnerable and hard to reach women of all ages who have been trapped in cyclesof prostitution, drug addiction, physical abuse and homelessness from a young age.
The project offers them an opportunity to self-determine their future in their own communities.
Our Mission: To support women who have suffered cruelty and abuse and encourage them to make sustainable changes in their lives
“We like to think that this way of living couldn’t possibly happen to us. The truth is that most of these women would not have imagined for one second that their lives would turn out this way. These women were failed by the very services that should have supported them and many, as a result, don’t survive past their early twenties. The U-Turn project actually makes a real difference and gives these women the opportunity to change their lives by building their confidence and self worth and begin the hard journey of changing their future.”
