We want to make a real difference in the lives of the women that U-Turn works with. The childhood abuse suffered by the women had a detrimental affect on their abilities to participate in education within the classroom. U-Turn’s Second Chance Education Project will give them the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification. This will not only give their self-esteem a real boost but also improve their employment opportunities for the future.
This programme was made possible by working in partnership with Raines Secondary School who continues to support this project with guidance given in the planning and preparation of all the material.
